Peter Jones

Peter is the Pioneer Minister working for the church, taking a lead in mission and outreach activities and programmes. He trained as a pioneer with CMS in Oxford and has a passion for working with people on the margins of society and growing inclusive, compassionate communities. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Visiting Fellow at Durham University.

Peter is a published author and editor of a number of books in the area of abuse and trauma and has an extensive background in counselling and psychotherapy. He is the founder and chair of the Counselling in Prisons Network and a fellow of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Peter chairs a sexual violence and trauma special interest group within the World Health Organisation and also the Wellbeing in Prisons: Higher Education Network.

Peter is married to Sue and lives in Corfe Mullen.
